    Hello,

My ink jet printer, Epson Stylus C60, becomes old though always working 4 years after its purchase. I put myself in search of one replacing, in local shops and on the Net. On Epson's web site I found 2 models multil-purpose, Stylus D68 or Stylus D88. But where to find pilots to use it under morphos ? TurboPrint 7.60…? It dates from April 2004 and since more nothing ! TurboPrint for linux…? I checked with the versions 1.92 powerpc and 1.94-4 x86 since the drivers contained in their drivers directories are identical to those for Amiga. They stop all to Stylus C86.

I consider that it would be strong damage to no more be able to print anything under morphos for lack of recent driver for printing ! If somebody has a solution to propose I will be very interested.

    Hi,

Same question here... Is there any way of printing using MorphOS if one does not have an old printer around? (Put otherwise, where can I buy a printer that is MorphOS-friendly?)

    Thanks!

Depends a little on what you want to print I guess.
If B&W is fine any laser printer that uses PCL6 will work. That's what I use for my Brother laser printer.
There are a few Color laser printers that use that as well, but I don't know if what we have is fully compatable. Rarer still are HP inkjets that support the same standard.

This was reported in a message on the morphos-mailing-list:

    > with the C82 driver good to C84.

Yes from EVERY program I can print but I print only
through PS: and I use GS850.

I use the C84 driver from TP 7.60 package which works
fine if it's that you want to know. BTW I tested the
newer Epson C86 and D88 and both printers work fine with
    the C84 driver.

For such a low cost printer it gives me excellent
results, even print photos on glossy paper.
