    hi Guys

I just replaced my old router that went bad with a Netgear rp614v2 router. I'm using it as a DHCP server for my network. I'm having problems with Morphos with Miami Deluxe - it goes online for a bout 3 mins then it goes offline and says:

"The DHCP server refuses to renew the lease on your IP address"

Then I can click online and it does the same thing... my X86 box and Mac have absolutely no problems, and Linux on the Peg works fine with DHCP..

Anybody have an idea why this is??

Also can you guys please help me setup a Static IP for the Pegasos with Miami DX??

    Tia

Its a bug in MiamiDX lease thing. You need to go to rour routers settings page and enter in the max value for the time to get a new DHCP lease. I have mine at 999 and it does the trick. Just fool with the numbers making them as large as you can and it will accept them once you hit the highest accepted value.

It would be hard for me to check it, I am in Portland at the Rose Fest right now. I'll check it when I am home on friday.

It's a kind stupid advise, and I'm sure you have already checked it, but try to upgrade the firmware... sometimes helps...

What? Are you sure? I just cant see how they would do that.

An update to this router is out, but what I have been reading in the network forums is its a POS router and a lot of people have your same issue on windows, linux and Mac. I guess you can add MorphOS too now. The solution is not to use DHCP, so I can help you get it static later when I'm home. I cant do it from memory here or I could do it now. Its not hard though.
