I have MUICON 50.36 with powerterm 50.63, and noticed, that sometimes (can't reproduce it, but it has come tonight for 6th or 10th time) I can't type without accents. I mean when I press "e", "o", "i", "u" or "a", "é", "ó", etc. appears. Even a single "'" when I press space. It's very-very annoying. The latest ("non-south-pole-edition" :)) didn't do that. Any idea what causes that? Did anybody else get this strange effect except me?

Man, and I allready thought I had f***ed up my System ;)
Same happens here, also in SSH Con, so I guess it is the powerterm class?

Yeah, I'm having the same problem too, and it's really, REALLY annoying. Seems like it gets more frequent after the machine's been up for a while.

Yesterday after updating the SDK I wanted to compile some stuff to see if the update had gone right. After a reboot I found myself in accents heaven too :)
Glad to know I'm not the only one ;)

I observed someone having this problem too (who didn't report it in
this thread yet). That particular user had all these apostrophes in
his IRC output.. unfortunately I don't know if he was IRC'ing through
PowerTerm (I guess so) or if the bug affects all input in the system.

Well, I have the reverse: I am unable to produce the accented chars when I want to (deadkey + key). Clearly the same bug though.

Jaca is aware of the problem.

The problem persists after unplugging and plugging again the keyboard?

It's not related to keyboard. Once: the old version didn't have the problem, twice: when I close the shell and open an another it usually (but not always) disappears. Last time an "avail flush" eliminated it :) And the accents are only in shell (powerterm) windows, don't appear anywhere else.

I also had a similar problem with regard to muicon... to me it seem's as if some keycode is injected into the keystream... (i had ~ when pressing the space bar etc)

could it be coupled with poseidon V3? (don't remember if I had my USB keyboard or the ps2 one at that time (I think it was the USB one)...
removed the usb since it didn't work 100% at the boot selector screen...,

OT: if anybody knows a cure for why the boot menu doesn't seem to be able to catch key's when in a for like loop waiting for input -only USB-?? please tell.:-) )

Not very strange, as "execute command" obviously doesn`t use the powerterm class :)
