I have downloaded the latest release of Ambient and before installing it i look the contain, the readme. The install script says it has filetypes and configuration examples present in its prefs directory but that is false. Is it an omission ? if yes could the Ambient Team peaple include them in the archive please ?

there are prefs in the archive. (it's just one file u can savely ignore, this might change in future).

For the filetypes, yes.. this info is superfluous. We changed some aspects here lately and ambients own filetypes will be distributed differently. This stuff is currently in work, so please have some patience.
