    With this :
    http://www.google.com/search?hl=fr&ie=ISO-8859-1&q=frying+pan+amiga&btnG=Recherche+Google&meta=

    I found that :
    http://www.tbs-software.com/fp/

Last update : 0.4b2 (16 March 2005) but a new version is near to come.

If you have FP, why do you ask those questions ?

    For BurnIt, still waiting.

Cool. At least this version of FryingPan starts and doesn't crash in 3 seconds. But... so... is anybody here who has written DVD's with it on MOS? I can't even configure my CD/DVD writers...

I've just registered FryingPan and I think it's well worth it. It's
very straightforward to set up a project to burn and frankly I did not
expect an emulated program to burn so well on-the-fly at 6x (8MB/s).
But I've made a few backups and had no problems at all.

The GUI is a bit weird, but it's friendly and functional, so the only
real gripe with me is that it's a hassle to transfer money to Poland
(but this is not the author's fault of course).

Well, probably it just uses system functions f.ex. for file access. System functions, that are fully PPC native on MorphOS, of course.

My 060 A1200 could write a full CD in less than 10 minutes on all-IDE setup. I thought (and still think) that that was amazing :-)

How can I configure it? If I select ide.device in the drive tab, nothing appears on right in the unit dropdown list.

I'd like to know that too. I can't configure unit for ide.device and thus can't do anything useful with demo version. Can't be demo limitation? I'm not going to buy software if I can't test burning with it.

I just bought DVD writer and seems that there isn't much working software for it... Can burn DVDs from Linux side, but would be better to be able use it on MOS.

the bug of the empty device list appeared with mui4 alpha, i guess you can just boot from a morphos cd, select your device, then reboot, or downgrade to mui 3.9 :)

this bug should be corrected with the next beta i guess

I've tried with MUI3.9, and could select the correct drives. But... I've tried to write or format disks, but nothing seemed to work. The drive starts to format, but it formats for eternity... The write button didn't do anything. Shall it work, is only my system bad...?

Hm... I think I found the answer:

"Q:  What are the restrictions of demo version? Can I burn anything with it?
A: No, actually not. Version 0.4 will no longer let You write data in real mode; instead drive will make an attempt to burn Your discs in test mode. Another limitation is that reading & writing is limited to a minimum speed. This restrictions include burning, erasing and other actions that will modify Your CD / DVD contents as well as any action that will access your drive in any way, even speed probing.
As far as the demo version does not allow You to burn data to disc, You still can use it as data extractor. For more information concerning this topic check other subpages on this site :)."

The GUI is quite good. Maybe a little "overfed" :) Simple buttons (with small images) would be enough.

The biggest lack of FryingPan IMHO is the lack of a CopyCD/DVD option.
The autor have just said to me that there woun't be such an option :( but, fortunately, he plan to make a separate tool with this end in view.

I miss draggable screens... and do you? I know I'm in a minority unfortunately.
