    Hi,
which libraries are loaded during boot right after the kernel?

I used to have a nice logo but now, after updating ambient and playing around a bit, I have just some corrupted green lines on top of my boot menu.

MorphOS cd boots fine, so I think it's a sw issue.

It's no big deal, but thanks for any help :-)

    M.

(BTW the problem is the same regardless of monitor tooltypes)

One of those (many) known problems with Mui 4.0 Alpha.

There is an easy fix. Go to settings and select a screenmode for Ambient, save and reboot. Your bootlogo is back again :-)

    this doesnt' work for me

I noticed that if i change my screenmode resolution (1280x1022 instead of 1280x1024 for example) then the bootpic gets back.

    weird.

Actually, another thing I did to get the bootpic back; I removed all my screenmodes in modeedit and selected new ones. After that I seleceted a new screenmode for Ambient and the bootpc was back again.
Every time I change skins the bootpic is lost again and I have to repeat the step in my previous post to get it back again.

maybe that's why it showed up so late: it was ages since I last changed my ambient skin...
    I'll try your fix.

    Thanx

    Code:
deleting sys:prefs/envarc/publicscreens.prefs and reboot should work too.

it solves it only for the first reboot, but once you select a screenmode again then back to the beginning.

deleting all screenmodes and recreating them works here apparently.
