Hi all

I'm trying to un-bz2 and un-tar the sources for the Megatunix
unix/linux software for programming the Megatune EFI controller.
Aminet seems to be having issues tonight, and a cursory search of this
site didn't reveal the software I need.

this will likely be a can of worms for a non-coder like myself, but
having looked at the Win32 version of the sources
(AAAAAAAAAAGGGHHH!!!!) and then the *nix versions, (the annotated
source is in html on their webpage, bless 'em well at least I can
sort of understand (I think) what the code is doing and what it needs.
But, annotated source on the web and the real tarball are, I think,
two different things.

The file I need to unpack is megatunix-0.7.10.tar.gz. Once I get that
unpacked, then I get to see if my long-past geek gadgets install on
this machine works. Its been a veeery long time since I looked at
that stuff..

This is opensource code, so I think I can redistribute it, unmodified
in its original form. Its only a meg or so. I've attached it hoping
Targ doesn't kill me..

Right. tar.gz means it is packed by gzip btw.

You may use my port of "untarka" from Aminet:

It extracts or lists Tar/Tar.z/Tar.gz/Tar.bz2/z/gz/bz2 archives

what about just installing the MorphOS SDK and use original bzip2, gzip/ gunzip or tar? :)

Oops, well Voyager didn't seem to like the attach feature much, so I
guess it isn't attached
