    Hi Everyone!

I have installed GS850 on a Pegasos II with MOS 1.4.5. Ghostscript is the '020 version (NOFPU)

It has been assigned (4 assigns) and Turboprint references it under the 'PS' tab.

The gs-handler has been put in the L directory and the PS: device has been put into DEVS:DOSDRIVERS

When I print from Turboprint from IBrowse, a small Ghostscript Window opens as per on Classic Amigas and then the Pegasos freezes and locks up.

    Can anyone help me?

    Many thanks!

    @ amigakit

I use GS850 every day, professionnaly, it works without any problems at all for printing in bw or in color, via PS:, for ps2pdf conversion etc. I never had a problem with this port.

Under MorphOS only use the 020 nofpu version, the others do not work!

Here are the the assigns I have:

    ;BEGIN Ghostscript850
    Assign GS850: "System:GS850"
    Assign GS850Fonts: "System:GS850/fonts"
    Assign GS850Data: "System:GS850/lib"
    Assign GS850Resource: "System:GS850/resource"
    Assign Ghostscript: "GS850:"
    ;END Ghostscript850

The gs-handler (1664 bytes) is in L: and PS: is in Devs/DOSDrivers.

My command line in Turboprint's PS tab is:

    GS850:bin/gs -sDEVICE=tp8g -dBATCH -dNOPAUSE -q

    The Temp directory is T:

You can also use Michael Merkels GS8gui.lha which is available on Aminet.

    Hope this helps...

    Regards

    Christoph

tp8g is only for 256 SHADES OF GRAY TURBOPRINTING,

    for Color use: -sDEVICE=tp24

    is false, use:

    assign Ghostscript: GS850:bin

Ok, gs850 work yet with the last revision, but IBrowse print not in color, only gray.

Yes, right tp8g is gray only but as I sayed I use several printers, like an Epson Stylus Color 3000, Epson Stylus C84, etc. and with these I use tp24 instead of tp8g which is for the Laser printer.

You are also right with the assign you propose, I use a special program from the author of GS850 and that's why I have a different assign.

And AFAIK only as per the upcoming version of IBrowse which is 2.4, printing in color will be possible.
