    Hi.
First of all, i haven`t use another edonkey client before, thus i don`t know how this networks operate and i`m not sure if i`m doing something wrong or not.
I can connect to server and search for files without problems, but when i try to download a file, it never starts to transfer. It stays at waiting stage for ever. :-x
I tried to do it many times, with many different servers, filetypes, filesizes, waited for an hour but nothing.. I`m testing bourriquet 0.2.8, which afaik is the latest.
    Any ideas?

Nah, my connection is dynamic and so is the hostname. So, changing it manually is not possible or logical. At least, afaik.

I can connect and search, already. The problem is that the files never begin to download. They stay at waiting state forever.

Are you using a gateway? The same happened to me some time ago (but under linux). Normally you need to tell the gateway to redirect the edonkey ports to your computer directly (so incoming external connections can be received without any problem).

No. I'm not using any firewall, gateway etc. I have a plain 56k connection.

    Hi AmigaMancer,

as Bourriquet is an emule client you are able to download stuff via the emule network... but: it is kind of normal that you wait hours before a download starts, and even if you have a lot of sources it is normal that you need a week of nonstop connection until you are ready with downloading a 800 MB file.

I see. So, the network puts me in a queue if i understand correctly. But is what you say valid even for 30kb files?
Because it happens with very small files, too.

It depends on what files you try to download.
Sometimes the files up to 10MB are ready in some minutes and somtimes it take days.

Uh... I think i will stop trying and forget about this client. :-( I`ve been waiting for about 2 hours just to download files less than 2 kb each and still nothing. Everything is at waiting... :-x
I observe something though which i don`t know if it`s normal: In the transfer window, all the files that i`ve tried to download shows 0 source. But the search window shows 100% complete sources, for these files.
