hey nice job, but mine was a funny icon. You can replace it by just
    renaming it to yours.

I've used Blender for a small project some time before, so I was curious to try out the MorphOS version. Despite being an alpha it's more than perfect! Awesome! All my previous files worked, so I've made a small article about it. It's in hungarian but check out the pictures :-)

    http://snews.vim.hu/pages/200406/blender.htm

Even using the OSX Blender icon for it :-)

There is only one thing I'd change: please make Blender open on a separate screen, as I couldn't reach the windows and the ambient screen behind :-)

    Truly AWESOME job!

Tried right-clicking the depth gadget (and as for Ambient, how about adding iconify)? ;)

There is the option "-w" that will open Blender in a window, but there are some bugs in refresh, so you could get black parts on the gui.
    To try it just:
    " blender -w "

    bye

I have to agree with this, and having an art program in a window isn't really any better. That's one of my complaints with Pixel. I do alot of multitasking when I work and being able to flip from screen to screen for something is alot easier for me. It's one reason I went with Amigas for the last 19+ years, and now Peg2/MOS and will NEVER go to winblows.

After running blender in window, move it a bit outside screen and back. Refresh will be ok again.

Ha, I have a new avatar, of course done with Blender :-) as an exercise. All I need now is the possibility to load TrueType fonts into Blender. The builtin font is nice, but it is only one ;-).

Another way to open Blender in a custom screen is:
    1. create a new screen in SysPrefs
    2. NewShell :)
    3. Send this shell to the created screen using Mui's prefs or the "popup button"
    4. execute blender ;)

NOTE you can only do it with muicon (i think)

IIRC, TTEngine is based on Freetype. It may help...

You mean the invisible depth gadget in the rightmost upper corner of the screen? It cycles the screen, not the window, so the content of ambient screen and underlying windows cannot be accessed :-)

It doesn't help at all, he needs Freetype2, not TTEngine, anyway, Freetype2 pretty much builds OOTB anyway, no problem...

No, with the -w option you get a proper window, then there's a depth gadget for Blender itself...

I cannot release a new version tody, I've spent to much time on the compilation of freetype (sources downloaded here: http://www.freetype.org/index2.html ).
But it's work now with it (static version)

Does it mean I will be able to create 3D objects out of TrueType fonts? I will be more than happy then :-)

You can set the env var BLENDER_SCREENMODEID with the mode id of your choice (in decimal format)

You can use the -modeid <id> option too (<id> in decimal format too)

Just select the camera object with RMB and grab/rotate as every object.

I found this to be of exceptional help when having to deal with apps that are trying to simulate M$-Windows full-screen mode like APDF and apparently blender too.

You might be tempted to try it out.
