So I just installed MOS and when the resolution of 800x600 is selected i get a distinct high frequency flicker (similar to the old amiga interlaced, although interlaced is not selected). I'm using a Voodoo 3 and a 19" viewsonic monitor.

Also, I noticed that there are no higher resolutions; such as 1024x768 and 1280x1024. What is the best way to get these resolutions?

Choose System Prefs from Ambient menu and find ModeEdit there. Change Monitor Specification to match your monitor. In ModeEdit page you can add better modes and raise refresh frequency for other modes.
