Okay, okay -- I know this is a really cheesy topic, but indulge me, okay? :-)

Reading that Acill was 'starting from scratch' with his MorphOS install got me to wondering what he would be installing and what the "must have" apps for MorphOS were.

So, here's an opportunity for you "old timers" to share a little with a "newbie".

    So . . . What would YOU put in a SuperBundle 2?

First up CED, hard to edit the user-startup with no text editor
Then MiamiDX or Genesis gets put on and I go get what I need online
    PowerSDL is the next thing
then I get the pack_1 and Pack@ from here and install all them good
things like voodoo-x, xad, fat95, ect.
Aweb lite would be nice, its a free open browser and a good start. The
version I got from the developers with all the files in the folder
needed to run it is a great idea.
eaudio.device is next followed by my fav games
then I starting adding libs and classes as the things I like to find
    are asking for em.

Okay -- that'll be the first 500 megs.

How about some MorphOS apps & utilities just to fill up the CD? ;-)

    Any suggestions?

I'd wait for a new MorphOS release before making such compilation...

    Leo.

    Don't be silly.

There will be no SuperBundle 2 before MorphOS 1.5 is released. You will have all of that stuff in MorphOS 1.5 so why add it to the Superbundle.

Note that the Superbundle was NOT just some bunch of Aminet apps slapped on a CD and download; they were all paid for and licensed, at great hassle and expense, exclusively for MorphOS users.

Miami and Genesis would never be there because they cannot be properly cleared for inclusion on such a distribution of software.

A shareware browser would be cheeky as hell.

Please think *HARD* about what applications you want in a bundle and don't just think of it as a convenient bunch of downloads that you can get anywhere.

Matt, if you have some information about the (mythical) 1.5 release, could you please share it with us? Everybody is eager to know about what new features it might have, but in my case, I just want to know: What exactly is preventing the release?

AmiNetRadio (if you dont already have it) - it works on 68k but on MorphOS it works even better. CDDA, AHX, SoundMon, GME etc etc etc players are for MorphOS only.

check out MVP, for more information check out:

    http://home.vr-web.de/~gmkai/mvp.html

Though site is german MVP itself supports several languages. It should be a good startingpoint for newbees. But be aware that some software included in MVP is outdated. But with MOS1.5 a new package will be made.
