well.. the title says it already...

Having 3 different clients for BT available now and none has a GUI ready, so which one do u think is/will be your favourite?

    Please comment.

    regards,
    tokai

I voted for bittorrent on principal, or what I will slowly be switching too -- but it at a minimum needs a MUI window that can be iconified without popping back open all the time.... I think it has the most potential of the three.

i chose ctorrent as it doesn't need any settings, i just enter 'ctorrent <torrent file>' and it starts to download or freezes... if the first happen, i'm happy :-)

    bye, MarK.

    Hi,

I'm using mldonkey on linux for torrents, but I'd like to ask:

Can mldonkey work with a browser as interface or do you need to talk telnet ?

How stable is mldonkey for Mos ( when working with miami ...)?
    bye

i go for MLDonkey. Together with enqueue-torrent you have everything
you need. Nonetheless it's nice to have other options, such as
    bittorrent + ctorrent, as well.

I was using Amigift with great success until
latest Mos update, then it quit.
Now I use MLDonkey and IBrowse or CTorrent,
both work ok but need nice GUI.
    I use them with MiamiDX.

I vote for BitTorrent (4.1.1). The only client of mentioned three I managed to get running and downloading in two minutes, without too much hassle.

I like Bittorrent 4.1.1 very much, I was using MLD for BTs before.

    let's see...

    -ctorrent freeze
-bittorrent left with a "<frozen>:38: DeprecationWarning: the whrandom module is deprecated; please use the random module
Error opening terminal: unknown." error then quit
    -and mldonkey, hmm, well :)

is it possible to add a "suicide myself" option to the poll? :-)

    thefab:

did you read the documentation at all?

    bittorrent:
    - the warning is harmless
    - you do not have a TERM variable set
    - you prolly not have the terminfo descriptions installed

It's all described in the "ReadMe!" file, better: RTFM! ;-)

    hmmm,

i've just noticed the 'setenv save term' did not save anything...

so with the right var it works better ;-)
