I just read over at
pegasos.org that "our" David Holm has been Elected as Strategic Lead of Gentoo/PPC!
Also, the "pegasos-sources" kernel will no longer be necessary, since Pegasos support is available in the mainstream 2.6.12 kernel.
"When 2.6.12 is released we will just migrate our users to gentoo-sources which is the kernel used for all other arches. In fact, Pegasos support will be even better with the release of Gentoo 2005.1 since our automated build tools will be Pegasos-compatible by then. Including the script to automatically configure and build a (working) kernel, genkernel. This will also make it easier to use catalyst, our tool to automatically build LiveCDs."
