    Hi :)

ATM I'm working heavily on my next live-cd "CD Ga"
(this will be the default boot-command btw :) )
No list of atm-working-games for now,
but next time when I'm in netcafe...)
I have about 65 working for now, including many
    very cool OpenGL-games...
    I won't test voodoo-compatibility, but only Radeon 9000pro/9200SE...
    If there's someone with a working Radeon-7000 xorg-config :)
he should send it to me in order i can include it...
    Any help/comments/suggestions is/are greatly appreciated...
(I'm going to include about 100 games altogether)
If possible you'll be able to save your gameconfigs on a plugged-in usb-stick (or usb-hd) which has to be "/dev/sda1" and
formated with vfat (so probably every stick?)
Special help on this is very welcome, too; f.e. a script
which checks if a stick is plugged in or so...)
    And hehe:
    "Doomsday" will be included, too:
(atm it only works from reading the cfgs from stick, as it seems to write on start, but I'll find a way for cd-only)

OpenGL-version of "Freedoom" included by default

and optinally, when you have the wads on either cd or usb-stick
    OpenGL:
    jdoom 1+2
    jheretic
    jhexen

    These really look ultracool.....

    have a nice day!

Hhhmm, did the cd32-live-cd work on your peg1?
If so, or if at least the kernel boots, chances are good
that at least non-opengl games (or does GL work with radeon/peg1?) do work....
I could send you the kernel-config i use or the whole kernel
and you can check it out if you want...
    cheers

well i haven't really tried the CD32 one (only once but my burning failed so i gave up). Actually I 'm not really interested in playing CD32 games on my Peg as i have an Amiga 1200 for that.
I'll try your next live CD and we'll see if it works on Peg1 or not...

    hi...

Is there any interest in the cd?
would be more fun to develop it if there'd be some feedback...

This new "ga" cd is more exciting to me than the first! Alot of people dont give feedback but as soon as you make it available they all download and have fun with it :-D

If you make a Live CD with all those games that would be very cool. thanks for your hard work.

I agree with magnetic. I really love all these live-cd's coming, I love the *concept* of live-cd's, and I think your effort with the previous one as well as this one is really great! :-)

I have not yet had the time to try the CD32 one yet, but that is just because of pure lazyness! ;-) This one seems to have those games working right out of the box, right? :-D

    Keep it up! :-)

    Hi :)

Thanks for feedback! Now developing this
"monster" makes much more fun :)
All games do work out of the box
    (only doom1.wad, doom2.wad, heretic.wad
    & hexen.wad is opitional).
Funny thing is that even the included freedoom
uses the new 3dmodels and textures and
looks same as the commercial ones now :).
Everythink works live from cd, but you can alternatively mount your usb-stick in the games-menu and use/save your game-configs/savegames and alternative wads from there :)....
If anybody with peg1 wants to have the used kernel to check if it works or wants to have the
    kernel-conf to make a peg1 compatible I'll send
it to him/her of course (it's not intended to be
peg1 incompatible, i simply don't have one anymore...)
Will be quiet hard to find 25 more (good) games to reach the 100 :)
The final "problem" will be the filesize of the
iso, as it will be quiet BIIG...
Anybody wanting to share this please tell me!
(not sure if tgz on the iso will make much sense, but uncompressed it'll be at about 700MB :( )

    cheers

I'm very interested on your work. Unfortunatly, I could not use the
CD32 liveCD . I'll try other configurations for the radeon and my
    monitor.
    I want your gameCD ;-)
    Thank you for your work.

    @serge:
In the cd32live thread you said that the torcs-cd
works on your config. Is it possible for you to give me
the included xorg.conf? If so I think it'll be no prob to use
    it in "cd ga"....

    @HAK:

Of course i'll try to compress it :)

    Hi!

I've about 80 games atm, but several game-sources
simply wait for some solves dependencies
(quiet hard stuff to get some games compiled, without having
    net access at home...)
Is GL under voodoo/linux possible? I though it doesn't work...
I don't think that i'll support voodoo very much
(maybe no voodoo-tests at all as it'll be very limited)...
Probably I'm making some more new games today...
    cheers

The live cd will hopefully be finished in about 1 week.
I''ve upgraded many things/games to newest versions
(f.e. xorg) and have 91 games working atm :)
Gunne from pegasos.org is once again so kind to upload it
    when finished :)

    Hi Frostwork.
I've just tried your excellent cd32 live cd.
I've still troubles with cd32 isos, which don't load at all (a couple of those from back2roots) but I'll keep on trying.
Can you suggets one actually working?
    Marathon works good, instead.
What about your latest "ga" live cd?.
    I just can't wait...
I think that live cds are a great opportunity.
I've been impressed by torcs, trigger, cube and luminocity, all of which work great!
    Just keep it going!

    Cheers, mario!

THX for feedback (sadly not very much here...)
Most cd32.isos should work, but make sure that most cd32 games
need a special volumeID, which you have to set in the uaerc-file!
    (f.e. Fears:)
I've tested several un- /official gamecd, but forgot their titles...
The Torcs, Trigger, Cube & Luminocity CDs are not from me! I even don't
have them as I don't have any possibilty to download them
(i' love to see luminocity rocking though :) )
cd "ga" should arrive at gunne's soon, so I think it'll be soon
    downloadable...
I already began work on a freevo-live cd with tv-out:
freevo with movies/music/pictures already works :)

Games/TV not yet usable (maybe I'll drop emulators)
The gatos-patches xorg seems to have some trouble
with movies in higher resolution, so dvd-player isn't fun using...

    cheers

    Gunne:
thx for the news about the cd.
I hope I'll be able to download it (some times torrent download is too slow or unavailable).

    Frostwork:
please, could you post how the uaerc. section should be written (I mean only the line with the iso volume information...)?

As for the luminocity dvd (but also the other live cds) If you want I can send you a copy of all them by mail.
It might be also useful for you to check how they have been built.
It's the minimum to thank you for the great job you're doing.
Let me know how can I do.

    Just for the record:
I'm using a Radeon 9250 256 MB and video configs work fine!
I can't keep it going with my Voodoo 5500, instead (no linux install can be started at all, either...)

    Cheers!

@gunne: Thank you very much for spreading!
    (Already played a bit? )

    @mario:

I don't have the uaerc here, but you'll have to search the
filesystem lines (2 in a row, i think only one of them is needed/used, but the other doesn't disturb the process...):
In both lines there's a "cd32:" entry. Simply replace this with
your correct vol-id and the game should hopefully work...

Great to hear that the cfg works on a Radeon9250 also :)
Sadly I only tested with a Voodoo3 3000, so bad luck voodoo-kernels are not compatible with the 5500 :(

It would be really nice of you if you could send me the luminocity-dvd! :) :) :)
Torcs & Trigger already installed on my debian, so no need anymore for the livecds... Thank you very much!!!!

    cheers

If you send me your address, I will be pleased to deliver you the luminocity dvd by mail.

just a curiosity: which debian version have you installed?
I'm going to try (now or then) sarge 3.1... is it ok?
