    Hi!

    I'd like to know if there's any X-Window server for MorphOS...

    I've seen a SDL X-Window server that may be useful if there's not a native one here

    Additionally, there's a small server that may be interesting too here

    Hi Crumb

    The only one I remember have tried is Amiwin, but it worked ok on the Amiga when I tried it several years ago. :-)

    Link to Aminet

    Maybe you already did know about it ?

    You could make a port to MorphOS of some other...

    Best wishes, Gunne

    You can use Xami (Aminet). Is 68K though, but works.

    @gunne:

    Oh as the last time I tried Amiwin was on a real miggy and it only allowed me to use B&W screenmodes I forgot it...

    mmm about the port, better forget it, most of times I try to port something I end up locking my peggy with an unusable binary ;-)

    @pOS:
    thanks! I'll give it a try.

    BTW, I saw that amiwin had some kind of SDK, I guess it was to develop xwindow "client" apps that connect to our server. Some window managers were available (motif if I remember correctly). Would it be possible to recompile the gtk libraries but avoiding changing the XWindow stuff to make it easier? I've heard that geek gadgets had some stuff running that way natively (an old GIMP version). I know that a native window manager and graphic toolkit is better, but it could be a temporal solution until we have the more native MOS components...
