    Hi all!

I love the dosbox emulator, it worked pretty well. Now it works, but there is no sound output. I don't know, how to set it up to get the sound. I played Dune2 and there were sounds, now it's silent. Please help, playing without sound is really very boring... btw: there are over 2 gigs of dosbox games on abandonia.

    Bye, MarK.

Sorry, but I donĀ“t know English.

    Cau Marku.
Teraz som v praci a preto to nemozem odskusat, ale urcite je v Dune2 nejaky setup subor na nastavenie zvuku, mozno siete atd...
DosBox emuluje 2 zvukove karty a to Soundblaster a kompatibilne a Ultrasound. Mas to uvedene ked startujes DosBox. No a v tom setup subore musis nastavit pozadovanu kartu a nastavit jej Adresu, IRQ-prerusenie a DMA pristup. Napr: Soundblaster 220, 5, 1 . Ked pridem domov, tak to skusim a potom by som ti to napisal presne.

Ked sa ti bude chciet, tak toto co som pisal mozes prelozit, aby aj ostatny vedeli, keby mali problemy..

    Bye.

You probably have installed new powersdl.library. I don't know why it can't open ahi.device. I have two solutions:

    1. Downgrade your powersdl.
    2. Turn on somthing what plays sound for example ANR and while it is playing run DOSBox. After you can turn off ANR and sound will be work in DOSBox. I think. ;)

Oh.. that is interesting (#2). PowerSDL leaves only few signal bits free (in case of DosBox) and it seems starting AHI needs few signal bits temporarily. I managed to reproduce no sound problem here so maybe I can try fixing psdl too...
