Ok this may not be strictly MOS-related but I have a problem with installing Debian on my Pegasos 2 which someone might help me out. Basically I am having trouble entering the 'BUS ID of VIDEO CARD' as required by Debian during installation. Running LSPCI gives me the following information (in HEX) regarding my video card:

    0001:01:08.1

Debian installation gives me an example in the following format:

    PCI:0:16:0

How does 0001:01:08.1 translate in the info as needed by Debian? I have tried entering PCI:01:08:1 but I bet thats wrong, and Xwindows wouldnt even start...

    Any help is appreciated.

Try PCI:01:01:08. Or maybe it will accept empty line? In fact this information is not necessary, my system works without it (it is specified in XF86Config but commented out).

When I just pressed enter without entering the information, I got the error that Xwindows could not start because of bad display settings or something like that.

Is there a way I can get another try at inserting this information without having to reinstall the whole thing?

I tried running xf86config but it still did not work.

First, don't use xf86config -- reconfigre your XWindow with dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xfree86. I can't renember when it comes to Pegasos, but my x86 never wanted this settings. It should be autoprobed. Maybe you should post here a X error msg.
