    Reading the readme docs in E-UAE, I read that hardfiles can be used. Can someone tell me what line I can add in the config file to load a .HDF. I`ve tried a few things such as UAE0=HardDisk.HDF. It didn`t work. There is nothing in the docs for how to do it with the Morph version. Can anyone help?

    Hi Nitro,

    E-UAE?

    Is it good?

    Bye,

    Spidey

    ps: search Morphzone for UAE and you'll find enough threads about it ;-)
    (hopefully)

    Well it`s been good for me when it comes to playing games, but I`d like to know how it get a harddisk working with it. I`ve spent some time with R-type, Chaos Engine, and Super Frog, they all ran well.

    This configuration file works for me with UAE 68k 0.8.23 20040125. It starts Workbench 1.3.

    framerate=1
    autoconfig=yes
    kbd_lang=it
    # floppy0=ADF/System/WorkbenchV1.3.adf
    kickstart_rom_file=Kickstarts/kick34005.A500
    kickstart_key_file=no
    joyport0=mouse
    joyport1=joy0
    use_gui=yes
    immediate_blits=no
    collision_level=sprites
    cpu_speed=4
    # finegrain_cpu_speed=
    cpu_type=68000
    cpu_compatible=no
    nr_floppies=0

    # filesystem=read-write,Workbench:Harddisks/Workbench1.3
    hardfile=read-write,32,1,2,512,Hardfiles/Workbench.HDF

    sound_output=no
    sound_channels=mono
    sound_bits=8
    sound_frequency=
    sound_max_buff=
    sound_interpol=no

    bogomem_size=0
    fastmem_size=8
    z3mem_size=0
    chipmem_size=4

    gfx_width=800
    gfx_height=600
    gfx_lores=no
    gfx_linemode=double
    gfx_correct_aspect=no
    # gfx_center_vertical=
    # gfx_center_horizontal=
    gfx_fullscreen_amiga=yes
    gfx_fullscreen_picasso=no
    gfx_color_mode=8bit
    gfxcard_size=0

    use_debugger=no
    log_illegal_mem=no

    show_leds=yes
    cachesize=4
    scsi=no
    amiga.screen_type=custom
    amiga.use_dither=false

    In this form UAE will try to start from the Workbench.HDF hardfile stored in the Hardfiles subdirectory of my UAE installation.

    You can exchange the comment symbol (#) in the lines:

    filesystem=read-write,Workbench:Harddisks/Workbench1.3
    # hardfile=read-write,32,1,2,512,Hardfiles/Workbench.HDF

    Now UAE will try to start from the directory Workbench1.3 stored in the Harddisks subdirectory of my UAE installation. Of course the Wb1.3 files should be therein.

    What version of E-UAE are you using and where did you find it?

    It`s 0.8.27_RC1 from MorphOs-News. Thanks, I`m going to try "hardfile=read-write,32,1,2,512,Hardfiles/Workbench.HDF"

    Hi!
    Richard now has a peg and put a mos-build under
    http://rcdrummond.net/uae/test/e-uae_morphos_0.8.27-20041124.lha
    Maybe this one works better for you?
    good luck!

    In the last week I've fixed a bunch of glitches in the AmigaOS bits of E-UAE. AFAICR, that test build I did for MorphOS will have some nasty bugs (including one show-stopper in the sprite-collision emulation - although it may work okay if you set 'collision_level=none').

    I'll be doing new release for AmigaOS (68k and OS4.0) and MorphOS in a few days.

    You can also try an sdl-enabled version of e-uae, which has some advantages over the api-native version : uncutted sound, p96 support,... :

    baaaah, sdl e-uae is slow as hell on my peg1 :-p

    i suppose it's due to Fab's affinity with pinguinux :-)

    Thefab:

    native or sdl doesn't make much difference with e-uae or uae > 0.8.22. They're quite slower than the old 0.8.6 version, but have more features though.

    On a G4 most games run properly, hopefully.

    don't forget to wear your SuperNul suit next time i see you on IRC. :)

    Hi Fab,

    I tryed your E-uae port with the DoctorMorbius settings and changed my
    Rom 1.3 Path.

    The emulator starts and go to a black screen, it tells "application
    is medidating". That's all.

    I' think I'm doing a wrong thing somewhere.
    Could you post a simple working commande line ? Or maybe a .uaerc
    file please ?
