    Hi,

I upgraded yesterday my PEG I to a PEG II G4.

Morphos was very easy to update, but linux ...

Will I must install linux completly or juste change the kernel like morphos?

    Thanks

AFAIK, You have to reinstall completely... When I changed the kernel only, it booted, but there was no sound, no cd, no usb, no ffs hdd... simply impossible to install anything just because there was no way to get any data inside...

    Bye, MarK.

    Hi!
Don't know why, but here linux migration from peg1 to peg2
    worked quiet good.
Of course you'll have to make sure, that your modules for the
new kernel are installed also under /lib/modules/kernel-version!
    cheers,

True! I downloaded all the needed stuff, but... on the Peg2 I had no possibility to get them to the linux HDD...

    Hi, Mark!

    Mmmhy
you could make a fat-partition, copy the kernel-stuff on it
    on MorphOS-side. If you don't have a peg2-compatible kernel
to boot into linux open the deb-package with XAD/VoodooX
and extract the kernel onto your boot-hd.
With this you should be able to boot up linux.
Under linux (with still missing modules) you can mount your
fat-hd and install your kernel-deb with "dpkg -i kernelpackage".
If you can't mount fat-hd, as module is missing, you could
extract the whole deb-package under MOS and copy
the module-direcory to the correct place under linux...
(I anyway would install the package correctly after reboot).
    Good luck!

BTW: linux questions are better placed under ppczone.org,
as there are more people, who could help with stuff like this...
    Additionally this is MORPHzone ;)

    cheers,
