    Hiall!

    A few questions...

I transferred my MiamiDX keyfiles from my old machine. MiamiDx seems
to want me to register, but when I try to upgrade, it says that the
keyfiles I have are the latest version. However, when I try to use
Miamiftp, etc., it complains that MiamiDx is unregistered. What gives?

After my HD died, I now am reinstalling everything on a new 80GB
Maxtor (yum! DOG, this drive is quiet...) How can I update boot.img to
the latest version? ie., where do I get it from using voyager, as ftp
    doesn't work ATM...

If I want to make shell aliases, do I just create s:shell-startup as
on classic Amiga? I seem to remember some alternate scenario for
MOS.. no, wait, I think I just answered this for myself... ;-)

Does the morphzone IRC interface work? I just see "Loading..." in the
    nick list panel.

    TAFN, TIA!

    Pete

And if that wasn't enough, I was playing around with ModeEdit and ScreenMode trying to get 1024x768 out of my Radeon 7000... and I rebooted as suggested... and my boot drive seems dead now. I get to the "Auto-boot in 0 seconds..." message and everything stops.

    :(

not having much fun with my peg these days... anyone have any ideas what is going on?

    Pete

Hm, happened to me some weeks ago, when I reinstalled the Pegaos of a friend and copied my settings to the machine and forgot to copy the SYS:Prefs/Preset/Monitors/<monitorfilename> according to the ENVARC:CyberGraphX/<Gfxcard>Monitor file. (Therefore it was looking for a monitorfile which was not present and didn't seem to continue anymore).

As I don't know how you changed your settings, maybe something like this happend in your situation as well.

Best bet would be to insert a bootable MorphOS CD and check your settings in the upper mentioned directories on the harddisk (or if you can work with the hd at all).
