Dear all,
yesterday I tried to install Yellowdog 4 on my Peg II using the new support pack. Since I run MorphOS and PegXMac on my PC, I wanted to install Yellowdog into the 7th partition on my Peg (/dev/hda7).
Unfortunately, Yellowdog doesn't seem to handle more than 6 partitions. Its install routine is unable to mount /dev/hda7 or copy files to it. I started the Rescue shell and checked /dev. The files in there only go up to /dev/hda6. No hda7!
A mount -t ext2 /dev/hda7 /mnt/hd-1 therefore leads to an error that the "special device" /dev/hda7 doesn't exist.
Since this is Linux, documentation is a problem. I couldn't find anywhere on the net any documentation (let alone anything readable) how to get a /dev/hda7 if there is none.
Any clues would be appreciated! Thanks to all in advance!!
Best regards
CK
