A: Debian is installable via CD on Pegasos 2 ONLY with SARGE release, for now avaiable on "testing" directory:
http://cdimage.debian.org/pub/weekly/powerpc/
(Why everyone have forget to say what release is actually bootable?)
USE THE INSTALLER INTO "POWERPC" DIRECTORY (vmlinuz-chrp.initrd), becouse is the only one wich run!
If you encounter some problem, sometimes are a CD Image bad burn or a bad download. Better try to remake a 2 time the CD before think if is something into Pegasos to not work.
B: Gentoo is well usable only if you have a serious internet connection. Portage need to costantly updated for mantaing it's packages, and if you haven't last release become HARD install something on it. Alternatively you must everytime manually install Portage on machine.
Using Debian or Crux is lesser time-wasting if you don't have net connection.
C: The last release of CruxPPC 2.0 seem have some problem to boot on Pegasos 2...
