Remember to install Fat95 on the Peg, and to use 720k pc formatted floppies from your amiga.

Another thing to remember is you still wont be able to read any Amiga formated disks. Its like having a PC drive on you Pegasos.

Yes, LAN should be imo the best way... You could use parallel connection (with miami it should work, I guess) (if You haven't ethernet card in Your Amiga) and with samba, You would be able to read also Amiga diskettes...

You'll probably have to mess with your USB prefs (posiedon if you installed the upgrade).

Why do you want a floppy in the first place? I recomend a USB flash drive. I have a 256MB on eI use to move things from my Macs to the Pegasos all the time. Just get the latest fat95 from Aminet and put it in your sys/L dir. Thats it.

The standard floppy drive in the amiga is not high density is why. ;-) Fat95 can do 1.44m disks. You never stated that you had a high-density amiga floppy drive...

You need to tape the HD hole up on the disks. They will format to 720KB then. The drive will not let you format it to 720KB otherwise.

    Hi Cookie!

To connect Amiga and Pegasos via ethernet, You need a working Miami and Samba installed on both systems. To make things simplier, install also Tango (I guess, everything should be on AmiNet) and read documentation carefully. This way You should be able to read every drive from Amiga with Pegasos (and vice versa), so also Amiga formated disks... I did so, and had no problems... I just haven't tried diskettes, as I hasn't one in my Amiga 1200T ;-)

    Bye, MarK.

An easier alternative to Samba is Amiga Envoy 3. It's a commercial product, but installs far easier than Samba to install. (Also, no Miami required).

If you go this route, pick up the latest official patch from the aminet (in /biz/envoy ). It also has some nifty plugins, like a "chat" utility to use between your Amiga and Pegasos, and my personal favorite..... The ARexx server (again aminet), which will allow you to dump off arexx commands from one machine to the other. You just can't beat that with a stick.

 In the beginning, I just cheated. I took my A1200's hdd, and made it a slave on the Peg. Then, I copied the whole thing into a dir. I was waaay to lazy to even attempt to figure out what was where.
