    Hi all!

I'd really love to make my USB devices working, but there is some partital problem. When I plug my camera in, it's well recognised, but the icon doesn't appear on the ambient screen. But the drive is there, but it's no-dos, so I can't do anything with it. I tried to format it, and voi'la, it works! I can play with it, copy data from/to it, but.... when I unplug it, and plug it again, the situation above repeats... so I'm not able to get any data from it to my pegasos, only from the pegasos...

It seams, that it's more the problem of the l:fat95, than the massstorage.device... Any advices? I have to say, that this really sucks... Help needed! :-o

    Bye, MarK.

Can you print the USB error-logs here for us to look at?

If the computer is seeing the camea/card on first plug in then im not so sure its fat95, but more the set up of your poseidon config.

In shell type MOSSYS:c/USBErrorlog once you have plugged the camera in once or twice, then paste the results.

    Hi!
I have Minolta Xt digital camera, and i have the same problem. Try format memory card in any PC with Windows (fat32). Then try it in Pegasos with your camera.

    Regards

p.s. sorry for my baaad english :)

2 Bifford: ouki, I'll try it tonight and put here those results...

2 stony: ouki, just formatting, will check it also tonight. Does it work with Your Minolta Xt digital camera after formatted in the PC? Mine is DiMAGE Z1, and I got some info, that it should work, but I tried (imo) everything, and it doesn't...

2 stony: fat32 formating in PC disallows me to use the card in the camera...

Use Fat95 from Aminet and everything will work out just fine. True PnP.

Well, I formated it in PC with FAT file system, and it worked pretty well with my Pegasos! Thanks PPL! :-D But when I quickformated it in the camera (by the camera itself) it wasn't readable again, when I plugged it back. So imo it really is the problem of the l:fat95... there is something incompatible when formatting by the camera itself.

Nevertheless, I got today USB2.0 PCI card (vivat ComputerCity!!!) for free and so I will test it when I get back to my Peg2 :-)

But it's really good, to know, that it can work now! :-) (Although it's damn slow, probably Low-Speed...)

2 stony: thanks for the detailed list, I will check it out tonight!

    Bye, MarK.

I guess I am just lucky. All my USB cards are working. I have a Sony camera that comes right up, and a SanDisk USB flash card that also just pops up and works.

All I remember doing is putting in the fat95 stuff in the L dir like it said to do.

Why is the access of my massstorage devices that slow? In numbers it does about 2 megs big picture downloaded in about 25 seconds... that's about 80 kilos per second... Any advices? Under linux it's far faster...
