To really get the idea behind it you have to take a look at the Quicktime Video on that site.. But you need a Quicktime player for it o_O

    oh nice link :) thx

the F9 key function is what i need :)

i think the programers write a little program thats starts in the wbstartup drawer and running in the background

the problem is when running a panel and stateline and press F9 this should not be minimized

i hope any programer write this little thing

Unfortunately you will be stopped by a patents issue here. We on GNOME tried this too unfortunately it never became mainstream in GNOME because of patents issue with Apple. So in worst case better check up whether they could sue our ass or not before implementing such a feature. Apple is known to patent everything even style, code, color and the air they breathe.

I already proposed something like that on beta2 ML but did not received a lot (if not at all) feedback...

The basic idea is that you have a hotkey that will bring you a menu with list of windows of current screen, like this:

    http://nogfx.free.fr/win_menu1.png

You can move quickly and select a window that will be brought to front and activated.

Now if you stay for a second (or so: delay should be configurable) over a specified window name, a grab of the window would appear, like this:

    http://nogfx.free.fr/win_menu2.png

A nice combination of hotkeys to bring and naviguate in this menu could be:

.Press and keep right mouse button + mouse mousewheel make the menu appear

    .Then you naviguate with mousewheel

.Releasing RMB would bring to front and activate selected window

    But this could be configurable...

    Leo.

We mostly have that feature already.

Just click RMB on the deepth gadget and you'll get a list of all open windows. Selcet one from the list and it comes to front. Same goes for screens and - yes - I love that feature!

This is almost useless without icons to differenciate different windows (at least different icons for shell, mui and non mui apps) and there are no grab of the window... this is where is the big difference ;)

Current list is unusable when you have more than 5 windows...

Sure? There is a complete Exposé rip-off for Windows, called WinPLOSION. It was originally named WinExposé, but they got trouble with Apple's lawyers so they had to change the name ... but the program apparently still exists.

Besides, I'd rather like to see something innovative on MOS ... this is so ... yawn ... Apple announces Spotlight and a some weeks later Microsoft buys a company writing search technology. Let's not get down to the level of Microsoft.

Besides, I hardly ever use Exposé, except the F11. I rather prefer screens á la MorphOS, that's why I'm running DesktopManager (brilliant transition effects!!). Does so much more for me. I don't like cluttered displays, even if I don't need to access the hidden windows.

However, Exposé is really cool and there will be complemented with
Dashboard which would be a much better idea for MorphOS since we really don't have anything like that.

Edit: If you want to see something that'll make you really wish it'd be in MOS, check out the
WWDC Keynote Stream, esp. that bit about CoreImage and CoreVideo ... this is really wow.

they are really great computers. apple is really pulling ahead and i think with MS taking so long to release there new operating system there is a big oportunity to take a bigger piece of the market share.
