    Hi all,

I know that Ambient PNG icons are much nicer than old GlowIcons, but I would like to create some GlowIcons, too. Is there any way to create GlowIcons on MorphOS? The old OS 3.5 Icon Editor, which worked well on my A1200, does not work with the MorphOS icon.library, maybe because the Icon Editor tries to open v44 icon.library but the MOS one is v41, but even if the MOS version would be v44 I am not sure if it would work with OS 3.5 Icon Editor.

I think I could create NewIcons with Iconian from Aminet (at least I was able to run Iconian on MOS), but there isnt a glow effect.

Does anyone of you know a way to create GlowIcons on MOS?

Ambient does not display GlowIcons. It's icon.library doesn't handle them as well.

Well, at least on my configuration (Peg1 April2, G3/600, 256 MB RAM, MOS 1.4.2, Voodoo4 4500) all kind of Icons are displayed very well: Old Amiga Icons, NewIcons, GlowIcons, Ambient PNG Icons.

    Schlonz,

I think what Jacadcaps means is the PNG icon system does not support
    separate selected and deselected images.

The Amiga Developer CD contains a program to add the glow effect to an image and you can use the InjectBrush utility from the NewIcons archive to convert the images to an icon.

    Bye,
