    Hi

I'm using Nescio as Ambient skin.
I like is it because its looks clean and is not too bright.

I would like to change to default background color of all applications. Currently its medium grey and the pen color is black.
If searched in Ambient but unfortunately I could not find a prefs tool to change it.

Can someone please be so kind and tell me how to change it?

    Thanks
    Gunnar

I'm glad you like the nescio skin. It was the first working skin for
    Morphos/Ambient :-D

You can change the system colors by editing with a text editor the
file 'skinconfig' in the skin directory. The colors are in hex values,
wich means it needs an hex converter.

    Good luck!!! :-)

    Cool it works.
    Thanks Nowee!

    Hexcolors are no problem.
I wrote enough asm demos to calc colors in my head ;-)

    Thanks

    Hi Tokai,

    Nice skin. :)

I think what really needs to be changed are the default
    scoll-icons and scroll-bars of mui.

Voyager uses Ambient scroll bars but Ibrowse uses mui scroll bar. The mui scroller is really ugly. I wish I would know howto change mui scrollbar to look like Ambient bar.

    Newlook looks nice.
But how can I set the color of of the scrollbar?
My "newlook" bar has odd blue color of #5e84a6

Is there an explanation or howto of the skin values?
For example the icons (close/iconify/depth) of my windows
are light grey for active window and yellow for inactive windows.
I would like to swap these colors but can't find out how.
    Can you please advice me?

    Many thanks in advance
    Gunnar

    Sorry for this silly question...

But HOW do you actually change Skin in Morphos?
I managed to do it once at the very beginning, and now I just can't find the option anywhere!!!

    Cheers,

It's simple, enter the screen mode settings window, doubleclick the ambient screen, and there are settings for screen resolution, depth and also the skin :-D

    Bye, MarK.

For a fast and simple (and quite comfortable) number conversion, try: NumConv. It's my old tool, that I made on Amiga many years ago, but I still use it, when I need it :-)
