Hello, here I am again with a (small) problem :-)
I'd like to configure my USB Micro$oft Sidewinder joyPad (yes, it's the only M$ product I ever bought in my life!!) mainly for using it with the wonderful MAME.
Yes, someone could tell me to look at the Posedion guide, and I've read it carefully, but I'm not able to have this crappy piece of hw made by uncle Bill working...
    Any suggestions???
    Thanx and Ciao!
    :-D

To have USB Joypad working you must have Poseidon 2.2 (http://www.platon42.de/poseidon.html) installed on the system. Do you installed it?

PegasosII "Elite" Machine --> PowerMac MDD "popular" Machine --> MacMini 1.5 "still more popular" Machine

    Yez miky,
I have the latest patch of poseidon with the rom update (in fact my USB mp3 reader now works!!), but I'm not able to map the up/down/left/rught movements of the joyPad... :-(

    @maurensen

That's what you get what when buy bloody M$ stuff... Hope this will be your first and LAST product of M$ :-)

    Go To:

    SystemSettings/USB/Devices/ Click on your
bloody M$ Joypad and select Settings/Action
and select in window "Action Handling" the
"Hat Swith" (above X axis) and kill the triggers,

This worked for my Sony Joypad, if this not work
for your bloody M$ joypad.... well.... Fock it :-)
It's a bloody M$ Joypad anyway, throw it in the can and
    buy a Sony PlayStation Joypad and a buy/order a
    adaptor at Computer City :-D

    Case Closed... :-)

    hi
in the "action" part of the poseidon device prefs there is this nifty little "fill default" button. this worked quite fine for me (el cheapo pad) and reduced configuration enormously. this might work well for other pads, too.

    kind regards
