    And what kind of system QEMU emulates? Does it capable of running MacOSX for example? It seems to me, the system-emulation part of pearpc is more advanced. (And this is the reason why it's so much slower.)

    Anyway, it can be optimized, and who knows, maybe they'll be able to emulate even a G3/300 Mac on a 6Ghz dual core Opteron 2 within a few years. :-D
