You know what
warface? You took the word right out of my mouth :D
I really don't understand people trying to install Linux not really knowing what they will
use it for or better installing it only to try to run MacOS and when they find some standard
Linux issues (like Gentoo LiveCD leaving them with console) cry that Linux suxx.
I do belive that Linux can be used by anyone, but in my opinion for the people who can't
install it themselves it can be a real pain and because of that it would be really nice if they
could have it installed by someone who know what he's doing. Problem with Pegasos in this case is
that it's quite rare among Linux users and even the "local guru" can have some problems for a first time.
But when Linux is installed and configured properly it runs really somoothly and without
any major problems (providing you
know what you want to use it for ;)).

PS. BTW reading about problems with installation makes me remember my first days with Pegasos
(which I bought only to run Linux) when there was no suitable kernel (or no kernel at all) and
when I installed Gentoo with great help from Sven (he provided me with a lot of info and
custom built kernels - thanx a lot). Imagine the system running almost fine with an exception of
no console driver (only serial terminal), no sound, no X's no nothing. But I think it was one
of the first Gentoo installed on Pegasos II. I was really proud of myself :D
