As the Subject says: Is there a way to dump DVD Video
unencrypted to HD on a Pegasos?

If you can watch a DVD with mplayer, then you can dump it with mencoder. ;) Right now I'm using mencoder to dump my Red Dwarf DVD's to DivX so I can watch them on my PocketPC during my commute to/from the office. ;)

What an irritating question.
If it's unencrypted, simply copy it from Ambient or with a Filemanager.

THE DVD is ENCRYPTED. I want the VOB's on my Harddisk
UNENCRYPTED for further processing later.

MEncoder seems a usable way. I found a copy switch.
Have to try it out, but had no luck with the right
CLI options so far. I want the (complete) VOB's on HD
Video+Audio. Have to go to Work now.

If you want the VOB files, then I'm not sure if Mencoder will output them.

Umm... You might be able to use the "copy" option for audio and video (not at home can't check). I'm unsure if the output will be an unencrypted though?

Do you just want the highest quality output?
