How can I print a PDF files under MorphOS? I don't have Pagestream.

Printing directly with APDF does not work, because missing PS: device. Dunno... AFAIR ghostscript (7.0 ?) is part of the MOS SDK (which is properly installed).

    Any hints, ideas?

    Thanks.

    :-)

    Hi tokai

This is a tricky one. I belive you have to get all these ghostscript related things from Aminet,
because you need a lot of fonts and everything. Then make a script that sends the output to the printer. You have to read through a lot of docs as well...

As I wrote in another thread I had it working on a Amiga a couple of years ago, took me a whole weekend to set up, then lost it in a harddisk crash later.

I just moved the ghostscript installation from my TurboPrint installation on my Amiga to the pegasos, as ghostscript is part of that, but got wrong colors and bad looking fonts when doing a display in a window on ambient.

If you have this up, it might be possible to dump a Postscriptfile from Apdf and send to printer through ghostscript. But not sure if it works.

You could do a script that checks a drawer regularly.

    @MarK:

I heard this port violates his own licenses (AFPL). It might work...

Actually i was searching for a solution to get the already installed ghostscript from MOS SDK running properly. I don't want to install another bunch of MegaBytes just to print out one file. :-)

    Hi all,

for anyone having problems printing PDFs from APDF in color, this could be your solution - at least it works perfect for me and a couple of other guys:

    · download Ghostscript 8.13 noFPU from http://www.whoosh777.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/ and install anything needed, set all assigns, and do not forget to download the MorphOS-Magic stuff which contains of the gs-handler and the PS: dosdriver
    · copy "gs-handler" to l:
    · copy "PS" to devs:dosdrivers/
    · assign Ghostscript: gs813:
    · in Turboprefs for MOS, use the following command line in the PS-Section:
"ghostscript:gs -dDEVICE=tp24 -dBATCH -dNOPAUSE -q", and set the density cycle-button to anything else than "as in Config"

With these steps all my PDF printig problems are gone.

You might take a look to the following page for screenshots of Turboprefs:

    Happy PDF-in-color-from-APDF-printing ;-)
