    Well, how about throwing another Peg or II (hehe) into the effort. We're starting to approach NeXT on the OS/CPU Charts!

    @Targhan
    if you take a look in the RC5-72 MOS stats then you can
    see how many days we need to catch another system ...
    and you are right tomorrow we will catch Nextstep on x86.

    @all
    if you dont want to search the link to the RC5-72 MOS
    stats in this forum every time ... then go to
    MOS-news.de
    and click on the RC5 button in the headline ... thats all
    there is no magic, trust me!!!!!!!!

    What happened on 2004-02-17? We produced almost twice the usual blocks that day, then fell back to the "usual" rate. Someone sent in their reserve of approx 800 blocks? :-)

    I plan to start crunching some day aswell...

    The problem just is, I happen to have a very restricted internet connection. So, I'd need to configure client so, it wouldn't have to be able to transfer data more than, say, once a day...

    Obviously I can't configure the client while my connection is as restricted as it is now... :-(

    That's not a problem.
    The client only goes online, when all blocks are processed to flush them and fetch new ones.
    You can even run offline and fetch blocks manually.

    dnetc -fetch
    dnetc -runbuffers
    dnetc -flush

    That's one problem. I want it to (try to) go online only when it's possible :-)

    Last time I tried, the client got a bit stuck trying to get online, when it couldn't...

    I dcon't want to do that... I want to be online 24/7 :-D

    The thing is, I know when it can get online (weekends + mon-fri 21.00-08.00) but how to make the client know that aswell? Maybe esiest way is to get it fetch blocks once a day... But I really can't experiment with it while it can't connect...

    Well, guess it's time to write some dos scripts this weekend...

    I've been running the PowerUP client even on the Pegasos till now and am commiting my blocks to Team 200: The Amiga RC5 Team effort.
    I guess I should change to the MorphOS-Client now for the Stats ?

    @Jupp3

    Yes a DOS script with WAIT TIME could do the trick.
    Or some cronjobs with cybercron would be another possibility. You can setup individual cronjobs for every week day etc. Works the same way as on Unix.

    The client only has a run for this many hours options, no explicit time/date possible.
    Send a break signal to the client, then flush, fetch and run again.

    yes if you use the PowerUP dnet client than all your blocks
    go to the PowerPC/Amiga OS Stats. If you use the MOS dnetc
    then you will support the PowerPC/MOS stats and with team
    200 you can always still support the amiga ... like i do,
    and i hope all the other guys here too.

    Since my connection is only dial up and I'm not at home to dial up most of the time how would I get more packets to work on in a given time? This could be useful for others as well.

    @tokai - I know you gave this to me the other day but I'll be damned if I can remember. :)

    Added a "Moo!" block to the right side of MZ.

    Thanks to Antibike and MOS-News for allowing the links, and to Tokai for allowing us to use his icon as a graphic!

    Double click on the Cow icon, then from the pull down menu choose Client/Update. The next day you will have your stats, granted that your prefs are all right.

    @Mithalas - Just go to configure and in the buffers submenu you enter a lot more blocks. Than your comp can crack offline for a long time. One summer I got like a few thousand blocks for my A4000 and PC each, so they could crack along, and I could update them like once a week.
