I have asked this to myself weeks ago. Because I *love* the PS2 Gamepad. Anyway, there is a converter on the net that allows these pads to be used on a regular PC. As Pegasos has a standard game port it should work on a Peg too.

I answered the same question weeks ago. I have a PS2-USB converter that can be bought in any regular shop (at least here in Japan). I forgot the name, but I wrote it last time. I tried it with Poseidon and even the analog sticks seem to work perfectly. No idea about the DualShock 2, though.

Unfortunately, I don't have any game to try the pad... I asked last time if there is any way to control the mouse with the pad. I'd like to use the analog stick ;-) It would be could for internet browsing... (like the Internet browser in the PS2)

    PS. by PS2 I mean Playstation 2, not a PS/2 port!

Joysticks work here fine, at least with MAME and snes9x

edit: I've tried only joystick that connects to joystick port

Could you please tell exact model of adaptor you have, I've seen one for sale here, but haven't bought it as it's not sure, if it would work...

As I said in a previous thread, the name of the adapter is RealShock 2. It's in every game shop around here. Its home page is here:

    Sorry for the japanese!

One yet unmentioned possibility, that I've considered...

    1. Buy cheapest & crappiest compatible Joystick port pad for PC.

    2. Open it

    3. Open PS2 pad

    4. "re-wire" PC-pad connections inside PS2

(Of course the pad won't work in PS2 anymore...)

Of course, if you do this, I won't take any responsibility :-)

I just recently bought a PS2-to-USB adaptor from play.com (heard that it doesn't require any additional drivers on windows...)

Anyway, when I plug it in, it's recognized as hid device (as it should?) But then there are a few error messages, and it isn't recognized as joypad...

I'm not at home now, but when I am, I can paste the exact error messages...

the last missing thing, is the second joystick suport on MAME and SNES9X to play 2 players games (the most funny games)

That's becouse lowlevel.library only supports one joypad (afaik) but there likely will be newer system for using joysticks, lowlevel.library is there just to provide some "backwards compatibility"
