It's happening since the since a couple of days. And strange enough: It's not happening on my G5 ir Mac mini. Hence the issue must be somewhere with something specific on the Powerbook (network settings should be identical).
Eventually it's no big deal in regards to usability as google.com works just fine. Thanks fo explaining why sometimes there are no buttons (different code bases).
I'll look into what downloading wayfarer again on the powerbook will do....
Edit: reinstalling wayfarer made that issue disappear. Unfortunately I overwrote the old wayfarer drawer completely, hence no way to nail it down.
