    Youtube URL Extractor.

Would just like to point out that if you can find lower quality stream urls (not the https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BlAhbLaH page url) on YouTube, they probably won't be split into different streams. As far as I'm aware 720p and above store video and audio seperately.

On a related note, SMPlayer (MPlayer's guified fork, not currently available on MorphOS) has recently given up trying to parse or mux YouTube urls itself and now uses youtube-dl to do so. Google change the site so often that it's a waste of time trying to maintain any kind of video url extraction software. At least ytdl is updated very often. Pity it's written in Python (though Windows has a native exe) and slower than grass growing.

    Youtube URL Extractor.

@Spectre660 - Where does one get that program to run on MorphOS?

I see YouTube is totally broken now on OWB no matter what spoofing I select. I would like to try the latest MPlayer with Youtube, but I don't know how to extract the URL's

    Thanks

Edit : Sorry, I didn't actually think there was a program for that. Found it here for anyone else that was a bit in the dark : https://www.morphos-storage.net/?id=1531953

    You are right!

I have to do it via TonVid because OWB doesn't show any videos on YouTube anymore :(

But, I pulled a 720p stream and it's perfect on iMac G5 iSight with MPlayer! Very good!

Delete all Youtube-Cookies and restart OWB - should solve that YT-problem....

Seems that was only a short time of happyness........YT changed again - and now no deleting of cookies helps any more.......
I think, OWB needs a workaround or update.

The YTsite itself does not work, but the YT videos themselves still work (here). I mean YTis google anyway, hence I don't use the YT interface, but the google video search. The videos just play fine. Unfortunately additional information is getting lost. But at least the videos do work. Not ideal, but kind of okay.
Is that different in your case?

For the moment it works! But, as we have seen many times before, it's only aquestion of time, till this will be unusable too.
I switched to invidious, which works. Only issue: videos cannot loaded directly to Mplayer......

    Hi all,

I created a script InvidiousPlayer by modifying my InvidiousDL script to play the videos with MPlayer instead of downloading them.

Additionally it can convert YouTube urls (like https://youtu.be/<id> or https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=<id>)
to invidious urls and play them!

After configuring in OWB you can play Invidous and YouTube URLs just play selecting InvidiousPlayer from the context menu of such a URL.

    Download it here: InvidiousPlayer.lha
