I'll create this thread for smaller announcements and feedback of my applications created with the Hollywood programming language.

These are the applications I've created, about in the order of appearance:

RNOInfoScreen - Music player front-end and info screen
RNOAnim - Animation player, converter, and builder
RNOComics - Comic book and PDF reader
    RNOWidgets - Desktop widgets application
    RNOEffects - Image processing program
Raffeli - A program to raffle things
    RNOPDF - Compact PDF viewer
    RNORadio - Internet radio player
RNOTags - ID3 tag editor for MP3 files
    RNOXfer - Graphical FTP/FTPS client
    RNOPublisher - PDF publishing program
    RNOArchive - Graphical archive manager
Real Amiga SWOS Total Pack - SWOS total pack (cooperation with Cool_amigaN)
    RNOTunes - Audio player application
RNOSlides - Slideshow video creator and player

    FAQ
    Q: What's RNO?
A: A demoscene group I've been a part of since late 90s. I don't have to search the whole Internet for duplicate names when I'm using its name in my application names, and maybe it's some kind of branding now too :)

And the first minor announcement: an update to RNOTags is now available.

    Version 1.1:
    - Added balance object in the GUI
    - Sniffer didn't create new ID3v1 tags
    - Fixed sniff patterns starting with the ":" character
    - Other minor fixes

Congrats on all of your Hollywood projects, it's good to see some people are taking advantage of all the hard work that has been put into creating Hollywood, and I'm hoping to join in the fun of creating Hollywood programs, as soon as I can stop doing so many other help projects for friends and family. I thought retirement was supposed to be restful! I'm more exhausted now than when I was working a full time job, and maintaining a 4,000 square foot house.

Just wanted to show support of your projects, and let you know that your work is appreciated.

It's a library of software from one of the MorphOS Library contributor/maintainers.
These are all really useful program's that work, and so a real gain for us all that use MorphOS :bloons:

My next project is an FTP/FTPS client and I've now implemented the planned basic features into it, but what I'd need now is some beta testing before the actual release. I haven't organized public beta testing before, but now I'd appreciate some help, because there are so many different kinds of FTP servers around etc. So, a beta verson can be downloaded here, and it requires installation of AmiSSL v4 (the current AmiSSL installer doesn't create the required assigns to the user-startup if you don't have a previous install of AmiSSL, so please refer the readme in my beta archive for finishing the installation).

Any comments are welcome... not just bug reporting, but it would also be nice to hear if you don't have any issues with it :)

I've downloaded the file, plus AmiSSL4 (in case I don't already have it installed), but I'm not sure I will have much time to test it out for you, as I have just moved the current love of my life into my house, and the unpacking, getting rid of, or storing of all the duplicate items, and working on the "Honey Do List", is keeping me busy every day and night. I didn't think anyone could have as much stuff in their place of residence as me, but she has made me rethink that statement, the packing and unloading of the moving truck and trailer almost killed me. ;-)

I'll let you know if I'm able to get any testing done over the next week or two.

@ jPV - These utilities you have created, and the updates are really great.

Not forgetting that RNOXfer is the first Secure Implicit/Explicit FTP Software for any of the Amiga/MorphOS platforms - many thanks for all your efforts - really appreciated.

That's weird... nobody else has reported anything similar :/

Have you tried to boot from the MorphOS installation media to try on a completely clean system? Just boot from CD/ISO and launch RNOXfer from its untouched directory, it should work like that.

Or actually you'll of course need AmiSSL v4 (4.5 is the latest), but you can assign it before running RNOXfer.

I just tried to boot from the ISO and entered these on the shell:
    Assign AmiSSL: "Path:to/your/AmiSSL"
    Assign LIBS: AmiSSL:Libs ADD

And then started RNOXfer and it ran fine.

I have solved it changing the Ambient theme to the default one. It seems that my skin theme is faulty. Dont know why really.

Interesting... but good (for me) to know it's not my program. If you can find out what setting exactly would break it, maybe there's something to fix in MorphOS itself. Thanks anyway and hope you're well!

BTW. I just updated RNOXfer, because one annoying bug slipped into version 1.1. The update hasn't landed to Aminet yet, but is already available at MorphOS Storage.

    Version 1.2:
    - An overlooked debug line broke recursive downloading in v1.1
    - Drag & drop failed for icons with no actual file or directory
    - Added options to launch external programs after transfers

Seems to be a nice stable update jPV

The only issue for me, is that once you've started the export image operation in motion, you cannot stop the process from within the program if you have second thought about wanting to do that, and it is very CPU intensive until it has completed, so a cancel/progress requester might be a nice addition for such graphics export.

Also, any chance of offering a save as jpg option as well as PNG, as PNGs are generally much larger file sizes for each same resolution sized format graphic file.

The text option does seem to export well, with the page numbering option a nicely thought out benefit. 8-D

Ok, I'll try to add something for this in the next version.

I think that PNG is better suited for exporting, because PDFs are usually quite text oriented and then you usually don't want to have JPEG artifacts and lossy exporting... but well.. maybe I can add that too.

Hi, after sometime not using it I've launch RNORadio but it won't start. At least, GUI is not shown. I've downloaded v1.2 twice from MorpOS Storage. Here is Snoopium's output:

Oh, damn... it seems to crash here too. I hunted it down and there seems to be some conflict with RNORadio and external Hollywood plugin(s). For me it looks that it doesn't like the RapaGUI plugin on my setup... maybe the new RapaGUI 2.0 is the culprit... and maybe with a combination of some exact Hollywood version I have used to compile RNORadio, because some other programs don't seem to be affected.

    As a work-around, please add SKIPPLUGINS=rapagui or SKIPPLUGINS=* tooltype on RNORadio's icon.

And thanks for reporting, I'll have to make a small update for this... and investigate if this is a known issue...
