    Now on iris-morphos.com:

    beta113:
    - Worked around a problem where a lookup of source message would fail when viewing an MDN response if the MDN response wasn't fully RFC compliant
    - UI improvements in the email writer window
    - Clear the filter string when chaing the active folder
    - Moving a message to a different folder did not unload it in the reader view
    - Updated Aboutbox credits with all the translators
    - Added a link to the Privacy Policy of Iris to the main menu
    - Fixed an issue that sometimes prevented Iris from reconnecting after a network error until it was restarted
    - Added a workaround for Iris not terminating on quit in some cases

If I want to forward or reply a message, it looses it's html-design - why?

Mostly because I cannot really mark the reply sections with appropriate styling in that case. You can always start off from 'Edit as New...' from the menu.

    Thank you for answer.
Thats ok and works. But when you need a consistently backtracking of that mail-traffic, it would be a bit tricky......

    Btw.: Iris works great!

    Hi,

it would be cool if new/unread messages will be marked in the email table.
Just with a sign or render the text bold.
Currently it's really hard to see which message is new/unread.
    regards

I guess you just miss the relevant (front) list column there:

    iris_mailstatus_20210228.png

Just try a three column view and the status gets merged with the "from" column.

Looks like you've disabled the relevant column. Right-click on the list title bar and re-enable the 1st column.

    Ah yes, thx:
    iris-new-message.png

This works, it's just not correctly translated (Spalte 0)
    in the popup menu.

But new messages are not written in bold font style.
Maybe you can add this feature?
In all other known email clients new messages are marked also
    with bold text.
    regards

That's actually intentional - there's no title in this column since it'd cause MUI to resize the column to fit it.

Iris beta 114 is now out.

    • It's now possible to display all (raw) email headers (via message view context menu)

    • Presents unread message subjects in bold in wide email list views

    • Simplified the response subject generation code

    • Fixed an exception re-throwing issue in libvmime that caused Iris getting stuck in ENOTCONN state after a network failure

    • Fixed charset encoding when replacing an incorrect word with a dictionary suggestion (will still show a ? for characters outside the current codepage in the context menu, at least until 3.16 is out)

    • Fixed Learn/Ignore context menu functionality

Iris beta 116 is now out! This version improves stability, especially with Iris running in the background.

    Full history:

    - Send message/rfc822 attachments with binary encoding since several mailers won't handle anything else
    - Updated to latest vmime library, cleaned up the MorphOS patches
    - Upstreamed several vmime fixes and changes
    - Fixed vmime weak pointer usage in the IMAP module
    - Added an 'iconify on close button' setting

Iris 0.117 is now available for download.

    - Reply All keeps To and CC addresses as they were in the original mail now, but removes any emails configured in Iris' accounts or their aliases from the list
    - Scales very large images down when displaying emails
    - Added a spell checking selector cycle gadget to the email editor toolbar
    - Added a configurable reply header text
    - Fixed display of rotated images
    - Fixed the quoted reply text not to contain [cid:] strings
    - Mitigated a problem with TLS that would often cause crashes when Iris was used alongside Wayfarer

Iris 0.118 is now available for download.

    - Make sure to send a fallback name rather than IP address as the EHLO host as some servers will reject an IP address there
    - Improved mail reader's image scaling

    One wish/suggestion:
If I delete a mail e.g. in inbox folder, then afterwards I would like to stay in the same place having the same view on my list of mails like before - only without the deleted mail. Currently Iris jumps to the first place of the list. But often I delete older mails and then at least for me it is cumbersome to go back to the place where I deleted the mail.

    And another wish:
Please let Iris remember the last folders in which I have moved mails.
Similar to the menu entry of "messages mark as" and then there are different options.

I use MorphOS as mainsystem (even for my small company - do the most things, which are possible, in MOS -> rest in MacOS or Windows). IRSI is very usefull for me, even it's beta! Some features are leaking at moment, but will see what future brings.

The biggest wish for me is to drag&drop Emails to any other place (HD-folders) and back, like Outlook does.
So its very hard to archivate or sort mails to the purposes/assignments they belong.

    Second wish:
Encrypted output of VCALENDAR and VCARD. It's a bit grinding to search in this textfiles for event dates and times.

    Far away wish: Calendar implementation.....

IRIS an Wayfarer are excellent pieces of software - glad jacad does this!

I have written Jacek telling him the same wish.
For most mail providers give sufficient "cloud space", generally it is recommended to create such folders in your account there - and not on harddrive. So you can sync your mails from different computers/mail programs. This makes sense to me.
But: Of course this is not always the best solution. E.g. if I have several, different mail accounts managed in Iris and you must create the same folders for every account. This is going to be confusing...
