When I run games in UAE using WHDload, like i.e. Bards Tale, and my characters are loaded, or saved, or the city is loaded, or whenever there is some HDD activity there is some screen flickering where the screen goes black for some milliseconds and then comes back.
Anyone has seen this?

Lack of PRELOAD option in WHDLoad or/and RAM shortage in the emulated env.

PRELOAD is set.
The vm has 2MB Chip and 8 MB Fast. That should be more than sufficient.

Sounds like OS swaps like you get on a real (classic) Amiga too? It depends on the .slave how loading/saving game data is handled.

Maybe try a diff version of UAE.
