How about a reggae plugin for SID files?
So there wouldn't be a need for an extra program to play such files.

One problem is, SID files are quite different from many other "traditional" music files.

Firstly, they're basically executable programs, so seeking isn't as easy as with f.ex. mp3.
Secondly, single file often has several subtunes.
Thirdly, songs don't usually have any real "ending", which might also be a minor issue for some players.
Fourthly, HVSC comes with stil.txt with lots of extra information about many sid files, and it's really nice, if this is somehow easily available wia the player. It also has pre-set song durations.

So while one could probably do a Reggae plugin, a dedicated player would probably work much better.

Also license would be an issue with AmiNetRadio (probably the reason why such plugin hasn't been published before), but since Reggae is an OS component, I think there's some special rule for that.
