After another crash, I decided to copy anything from Apple Extras and that fixed my hardfile. So I dont think
its related to what I copied. I think I can copy anything to it and that will fix it after a crash.

EDIT: 03/17/2018:
Yea...boot off of a working hardfile, make sure you mount the "bad" hardfile. Then copy anything..a text file...to the bad hardfile. shutdown..remove the "good" hardfile, leaving the one that you had that wouldnt boot. Now it should work fine.
