    I found the Old Macs very stable. I still use a Powerbook 1400 occasionally and it proves to be quite a robust machine. However it is true when Mac OS 8 or lower crashes it does seem to take the whole system with it.

    Admittedly Basilisk II is rather fragile and seems to lock up frequently. Which is why I stopped using it. I intended it as a Hypercard development platform but it was too unstable.
