Anyone gotten the Amigfish translator to work?
I downloaded the Amarquee package it needs but the installer always fails.
I do not see how to set it up to use the MOS tcp stack.
Anyway to emulate AmiTCP or get AmiTCP to run on MOS?

I copied the amarquee.library over and the mui interface runs for Amifish, but I get a tcp connection closed error.

NetStack in MorphOS is AmiTCP/IP compatible, so that Amarquee should work network wise.. unless it's some other way buggy. But you should probably install it manually and don't try to run whole AmiTCP stack on MorphOS for nothing.

I'm just looking Amarquee's guide file and manual installation for AmiTCP part on it... everything should be doable on MorphOS. I guess you can use some different path instead of amitcp: assign where needed, or you can create own amitcp: assign anywhere you want. "services" and "inetd.conf" files can be found from ENVARC:sys/net/ and you should use them there instead of creating amitcp:db/ dir. But that's only if you need the server part of Amarquee.

That Amifish hasn't been updated in over 10 years.. I wouldn't wonder if servers it's using have been changed and not compatible with the program anymore.

Have you tried for example this for translations http://aminet.net/package/comm/misc/gTranslator

I will give gTranslator a try.
Turning on TCP: and assigning AmiTCP did not work.
    Still get the same error.

Amifish is outdated and does not work anymore.
    Don't screw your MorphOS installation.

    gTranslator works fine.
I'd prefer an offline translator but I cannot find one of those, not even for Linux.
