Hey i was wondering if that is realizable? There is transperancy support in the new panel and in other apps in MorphOS, so i think that should not be a great deal or am i wrong?

Just the background and not the whole window? Why?

just personal taste. this whole request has no purpose of any productivity. Making the whole window transparent doesnt look very nice in my opinion. I think making some parts of a window (like the window titlebar and the background) transparent is more aesthetic.
The thing is that MorphOS still looks pretty much like a 90ish operating system and a bit eye candy wouldn't hurt.

Well... the OS itself lets you make any pixel have different transparency level.

What does this mean? adding a PNG picture with transparent alpha channel as backdrop should make it transparent? well i've already tried that. Didnt work that way.

I guess this means that MorphOS provides the function(s) necessary to write a program that does what you want to achieve, similar to how Lucy was written.

Well.. Its possible, but very hard to find the settings for.
    Ok.. A possible way is:

    1. Open the MUI - settings window of the program.
    2. Select left in the list "Window"
    3. Push the button "Background / Window"
    4. The settings Window "Adjust Frame & Background" of the program is now open.
    5. Change the background texture with a png with alpha chanal.
    6. Change the frame of the window
    7. find all other things... its very hard to find...

when selecting a PNG picture with alpha channel, the alpha channel wont be transparent. it is just like a normal picture. No matter if i select a backdrop picture in MUI settings or Ambient settings.

It means the OS provides a way for applications to do this. Whether they use the feature or not is another matter...
