i can find references for this FTP server for MOS but cant find anywhere that has a download, does anyone have if or know of a MOS native ftp server?

I know. As you can see, I put my links as reply to Tcheko's posting, not to yours.
The MorphOS porter of these two FTP servers is DJBase, but he hasn't logged into MorphZone since 2010. He provides a list of some of his MorphOS ports on his website there for download:

Similar to Tom01, i recommend rc-ftpd from Aminet, too. It's easy to configure (by a MUI interface), and it's quite fast.

You might want to check the protection bits of the executable. Open a shell, go to the OrangeFTPd directory and type "protect OrangeFTPd +rwed". It should run. If not use Snoopium to see if that shows anything.

Not bftpd but a ftp-server, too.


Running:

Type:
stupid-ftpd [-f conf-file] [-p pid-file]

Without the -f option stupid-ftpd expects the configuration
in /etc/stupid-ftpd/stupid-ftpd.conf (Linux/Unix).

With the -p option you can specify the pid-file, which you
would like to use. On default no pid-file will be used.

Quite the server: Control + C


Change the .config-file!

Try it out !

Argl... Bug-Festival...

I have a new version with debug... A bug is solved....
This version sends now the rootdir contents. Transfer can now show into your dir ;)
But now quit the server after getting the "LIST"-Command... argl...

One more bug...

Argl... Exit() 's All the time argle...

I coud upload on this server. hurray... but after upload ser server quit... one more Exit(0) ... argl...

Most of Exit() are change to return(0). void to int.
Now the server works nearly perfect. Upload, download, make dir, list dir works. Only the DEL Command didn't work .

It Works now full! stupid-ftpd-1.5a
Now we have a fast and ease to config ftp-server!

In the archive exisit a debug-version, too.
If you have problems, please use these version to find out,what going on.

If i have more free time, than i can prog a MUI-GUI for these ftp-server.
