I implemented that feature (and some others) in 0.90R3 but it seems the original porter did not find it usefull so my changes haven't been applied on 0.91 port...

I only want to say that mplayer works with a DVD's made with iDVD3 on a iMac 1.25GHz.
Although you can't use the menu's, you can select the VOB files and it works perfect.
