Sort problem description: I tried to play WarCraft 2. First time I had cracking sound and cracking gameplay when moving ingame map. I 've edited the config and set the cpu cycles to max, restarted the game and though the cracking sound problem disappeared, the actual gameplay is still as bad as it gets.
So, a PMAC G4@1.6Ghz with 1.5GB Ram and 9800XT isn't sufficient to play a 1995 game or should I edit the config again? I have latest DosBox installed with latest MorphOS and updates and when running the emulation no other application is running on the background.

If you main concern is Warcraft 2 then just use Stratagus instead of DosBox. It worked well on my Pegasos2 G3 years ago.

No, WarCraft 2 isn't the issue (heck I 've finished the game a couple of times). I am worried that perhaps other, more bloatware games might crawl though (i.e. Syndicate Wars) since WC2 couldn't run smoothly and ultimately DosBox isn't such an attractive solution.
