Well see ya all then, I for one think this is lame, and stupid in the highest plane.

I see floods of comments every time new product is released or new software and updates. If you need to act like a child to get attention from all of us then its fine, your all dead to me now.

First of all, I don't like that much people that announce their
leaving every now and then... But that's another matter.
Anyway, the problem here is not about getting attention. Is about
getting a lot of trolling feedback, some kind of insults and things
like that after you released a freeware program. And having moderators
side with trolls that might not be idiots, but in that case for sure
are ignorants (meaning that they ignore even the basics of
programming, because TLSFMem had a pretty extensive documentation,
nice references to scientific papers, and finally people also posted
benchmarks confirming its performance, therefore there was non sense
in continuing trolling...) is just the final straw. I think people can
get more enjoyment doing something else than releasing free Amiga
programs and getting a lot of sh*t in exchange.
For sure I hope that Chris won't leave MorphOS, since I find his
contributions useful since the release of the 14bit deligenie way back
    - even though I had the chance to support him only in the last few
    years, after I begun working...
But I was saddened as well by the reaction of the MorphOS community
when he released Poseidon 3.x with some requesters, and people
complained instead of making a small donation... I was surprised by
the MOS community as well, I though it was better. Anyway, I hope that
he will collaborate towards the 2.0 release, and we'll get his work
and he'll get his share out of the price of MOS.

    Kind regards,
    Andrea

If platon42 continues coding for MOS, Trolls will do their trolling at his next release for MOS instead of doing it for some 68k tool... then it would be only a matter of time he would be fed up with this also.

But we have installed very strong anti-spam measures on both email-servers, which don't allow connects from dynamic IPs or unresolvable host names, for example.

I can attest to the fact that this "anti-spam" measure is broken beyond repair, I've tried to reply to a mail you sent me 4 times now (at different intervals), and they all bounced with some weird error. My ISPs SMTP (albeit being sucky) does not have a dynamic IP, nor is it unresolvable, and as far as I know is not used as a spam-server, so I'm guessing it's your SMTP that needs fixing this time... :P

PS: The answer in the reply was "Yes, ages ago.", and "Does VBCC support #include_next?".

I bought a PSP the other day. I wanted to transfer a movie to it, plugged it in, enabled the USB connection on the PSP and an icon popped up on the desktop. Poseidon is still an excellent product, it's a shame I can't use the latest version... yet.

Oh yes, I was indeed thinking about you after the experience with Chris. ;)

Chris has always replied me fast and always has been very friendly. Thank you Chris!

Show developers that you appreciate their priceless work (we are lucky MOS/Amiga is a hobby for them and they just charge a symbolic quantity of money because if we really paid the sleepless hours invested by them, MOS/Amiga software would be much, much, much more expensive) and show them respect too, crushing trolls with your baseball bats ;-)

but there are also other german communitys where trolling is forbidden and where the users look for each other... it is sometimes quite hard, but the moderations try to do its best .

Support in what way, what is the goal ?

Chris posted a link to a releasenote from august on the ML.

Enjoy this new release. Chances are that this is the last V3.x release for
68k. If you still need a keyfile, I recommend doing a registration within
    the next few months.

So his step is just what he said before. But what is the
goal of the other websites ?

Dont take me wrong, I think that it was unfair, that his news was removed from the main website of amiga-news.

But what is the reason MorphOS-Developers take down their websites ?

In support for Chris ? He requests nothing afaik
In respect for Chris ? I respect him, too. And I respect everyone who still is with us on the morphos-train.

I dont get the hidden message, sorry.

Hmm, maybe we will see something like:

    http://morphos-team.net/sintonen
    http://morphos-team.net/hodges
    http://morphos-team.net/etc...etc...

    :-?

Here is one at least hoping! :-)

Under any circumstances I think the morphos-team's website is an unused resource. Maybe there hasn't been much of a point to do something with it before the 2.0 release, but since this release is much more complete than before and (according to the morphos team themselves obviously) for the first time worth charging money for, then I think the website could and should be used a lot more. For promotion, for support, for software downloads, etc. Centralizing stuff and moving it to one place will increase traffic to that domain and push it up in search engines etc.

    Just a thought...
MorphOS is Amiga done right! :-)
MorphOS NG will be AROS done right! :-)

People buy beta stuff everyday in shape of Vista and Leopard, just let those who really wants to dwell with MorphOS to buy it also! :-(

If removing the single news from the amiga-news service was unfair, how should be called writing such a childish and offensive text in TLSFMem FAQ as Platon42 did?

    @ Chris Hodges

    Please don't leave.

Your products are good and I have also mentioned you into Amiga Software article on Wikipedia.

Also I scheduled soon to create articles regarding you and your software that is precious for Amiga:

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Amiga_software#USB_Stacks

There are also info about you here:

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/USB_mass_storage_device_class

(in this article I linked directly your site...

Don't let people from other systems believe that you are not for real!

Make yourself became a well known people in Internet for doing such a good job!

You are real. Poseidon it is precious!)

If you leave... how could I find useful info about your programs? Sigh, sigh!

    -----

About al the quarrel with PAB:

If he criticize your software, it does not matter... Why you rage so bad?

Always (And I repeat myself ALWAYS) Amiga developers got critics, (and not only into Amiga scene) even if they made good software products...

It is not important to receive critics.. Just mind at all people who use your software, and they feel it is good...

This is important... satisfacted people who use your software daily, and are so pleased that it was good and flawless, that they even forgot to mind that you exist... Because you live worldwide into your software!

It is even not necessary to start raging about critics.

...If these critics are constructive, use them to enhance your work and improve your software...

If these came from morons, just don't mind it! You started only Bad Karma to growth into you, and this let bad sensations to get you possessed, and ruined your health.

And if PAB was obsessive, don't be so childish to put him in your precious software...

Your FAQ does not deserve to mention this guy worldwide, into your good software...

Just deltet him and let people enjoy your work!

This is the important thing for you...

People using your programs and find it useful! let Good Karma to run into your body as a river, so even your health will be improved!

And see all around you, how many Amiga programmers and manufacturers sympathized with you by wrtiting "Bye!" on their sites...

You are part of a vaste community who simpathyzed with you!

    How good!

Are you not honoured by that?

Is it just not enough to you to see how many people are with you?

Don't let you got captured by "Primadonna complex"!!!

It is hard to raise up again and being feeling a human being if you start complaining everything all around you asking for your fans always claiming of you...

And it is hard acting again normally when people don't hail at you and say you "Bravo!", "Bravo!" continuously...

The normal day living it is always made by hard work and just only a little, just a few enjoying...

So don't delete what you realized for your pleasure, and for the pleasure of us all Amigans.

We are with you, as a normal person who realzied great things, and made this platform to be honoured worldwide and Amiga got lots of respect due to your hard work and your good programs!

    Don't leave Chris!

    Just my two cents.

Bill Gates "Think!", Steve Jobs: "Think different!" So... Let these guy continue blabbering thinking and enjoy computing! We are on Amiga!
