Issue with Grunch v2.18 - All apps missing

The images are optional. I provided some at geit.de for applications I added from e.g. Aminet. Grunch checks geit.de for all missing images If they are missing on the application download site, so there is no harm at all. It is just an information for the creator of the database to notify about missing images.

The reason why ALBs page fails is the HTTPS. It seems there is no http fallback, like with geit.de, so any access fails. As Grunch currently does not support https pages.

I consider adding Grunch officially to MorphOS at some point and performing a rewrite of the code to reflect all the stuff which has been added to MorphOS recently, which includes using Reggae for downloading, which would solve the issues with https, too

However, currently there is a lack of motivation on my side and there is a pile of things I want to add to MorphOS notification manager first, so don’t hold your breath.

Thank you very much for the reply! I think that MorphOS needs a software repository like Grunch and I appreciate your hard work. Please keep up all that you do! MorphOS needs dedicated people such as yourself.

Maybe someone with more experience than me can pick up the torch and work on this for you. It would be great to not only have your repository but to also have Aminet as well. Please don't abandon it. It is sorely needed.

This reads like there may be some misconception regarding what Grunch is. Grunch is not a repository but a package manager that is able to access software repositories like Aminet, depending on what actual source is linked in the respective database file.

Almost all my apps in Grunch are accessed from Aminet, because it's just a reliable long living file repository.

Some files in other databases point to morphos-files.ppa.pl, which is gone, but they're mostly from Krashan's database, which is quite obsolete anyway (no need to have Reggae in Grunch, for example). And some have issues with HTTPS as noted.

It would be nice to be able to access MorphOS Storage from Grunch, but it has couple of issues... it's HTTPS only and it doesn't have static URLs for readmes/archives. Even a static readme without renaming according the version would help...
